Big news on the local culinary scene — famed DC-area chef Peter Chang is bringing his Mama Chang restaurant concept to Herndon. It will be coming to the Arrowbrook Center just off of Centreville Road. The Burn has learned that Chang has signed for a 3,500 s.f. space for his new restaurant.

The Burn has learned that Paris Baguette has signed on for a 3,800 s.f. spot at the Arrowbrook Centre in Herndon. That’s the new residential and retail project coming to Centreville Road right by Exit 10.

The restaurant and pub, which already has locations in Fairfax and Manassas, is set to open at Arrowbrook Centre (2340 Silver Arrow Way), a development that is currently under construction at the intersection of the Dulles Toll Road and Centreville Road.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is finally making its Crystal City premiere next week. The upscale theater chain announced today (Wednesday) that it’s opening its Crystal City location on Monday, October 24. The theater first revealed its move to Arlington more than five years ago. The nearly 50,000-square-foot complex at 1660 Crystal Drive is framed by an exterior marquee and a lit-up vertical sign. Inside, it has 9 theaters and 915 seats, all equipped with swivel tables, power recliners, and server call buttons. There’s one particular large theater called “The Big Show,” essentially a large format screen with lots of speakers.
